The Animal Clinic, P.S.C. has served animal owners in Lawrenceburg, KY and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. We are a full service mixed animal clinic, capable of treating all animals large and small. We specialize in preventative medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, herd health medicine, reproductive work for both large and small animals, grooming, and boarding. We have a cattle chute and horse stanchion behind our clinic so you can haul in your large animals, or we are happy to come visit your animals at your farm. Our doctors also provide emergency availability to established clients.

Our Staff
Aaron Goodpaster DVM
A 1992 graduate of Auburn University and a native of Anderson County. Dr. Goodpaster practiced in West Liberty, KY for 4 years before returning to his native Lawrenceburg. He and his wife Julie have 2 grown children, Ashley and Austin. Their home includes a Dachshund named Trooper, along with various cats.
Josh Brown DVM
A 2010 graduate of Ohio State University, Dr. Brown practiced in Idaho for 2 years before returning to Kentucky to work at The Animal Clinic. Dr. Brown and his wife Carolyn have 3 children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.
Summer Hicks DVM
A 2022 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, Dr. Hicks hails from Wisconsin, but fell in love with Kentucky during her undergraduate time at U.K. Dr. Hicks and her husband Jacob have a household of 2 young children and 2 dogs.
Matthew Pochebit DVM
A 2019 graduate of St. George's University, Dr. Matt began practicing small animal medicine in Lexington before moving to the Animal Clinic in 2023. Dr. Matt is an avid runner. He lives with his wife Emily and their beloved dog Patches.
